Meet The Team

Sarah Currie is the Managing Director of Tour Travel, and has worked in travel for over 30 years. She started by working for the only travel agent of that time in the music business, and handled some of the major tours of the 90’s, including Michael Jackson’s HIStory tour, Mariah Carey, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins & Genesis.  After gaining invaluable experience working in these Production Offices and travelling on the road with some of the bands, Sarah then decided to set up her own company in 1999 and since then has seen Tour Travel continue to grow year on year, with retained business from some of the leading names in the industry.

Ramey Shippen

Ramey, Director of Operations in our Tour Travel LA office is no stranger to the world of performance, travel and touring. Practically born on a stage, Ramey has been involved in every facet of the performing arts whether performing on stage or managing behind the scene logistics at a performance venue or film production, she has done it all.  Ramey began her music touring career as the Assistant Production Manager on the explosive Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca” World Tour.  From there she went on to work with some of the biggest artists in the music industry such as The Rolling Stones, Rihanna, Madonna, Seal, Diana Ross, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Kanye West, and countless others. Having lived life touring on the road for 15 years, handling all logistics from a Tour Manager and Production Coordinator perspective, Ramey knows exactly what a production team needs in a Travel Agent.  She consistently partners with Tour Managers and Production Teams to work out travel logistics for entire world tours in effort to make a tour run smoothly for the client.

Eden Soto

Eden has always had a passion for life and anything adventurous.  Born and raised in NYC, she began to acquire her taste for adventure when she traveled through Spain, absorbing their art and culture.  It wasn’t long after that she found herself in Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, London and Paris. With her love of travel and passion for learning about different cultures, it’s no surprise Eden gravitated to the travel industry where she now makes clients smile on a daily basis with her optimistic flair and can-do attitude. Prior to working in travel, Eden spent time in entertainment and hospitality.  Tour Travel has been a natural fit for Eden as she has been able to utilize and extend her knowledge of travel to help clients.

Michell Newman

Some of Michell’s favorite life moments are thanks to travel: her first ski trip to Aspen as a child, savoring homemade pasta dishes in Tuscany, ringing in the new year in New York, exploring contemporary art in Paris, deep sea fishing in Mexico and the transformational yoga teacher training she did where she grew up in Northern California. It only makes sense she would end up making a career of something she enjoys so much. She began in the production world, coordinating travel for high profile clients as well as large groups and crew, learning at detail about luxury hospitality. Michell also has a background in the art world, having managed contemporary galleries in Los Angeles. She is able to apply her detail oriented and finite organizational skills to the needs of our entertainment clients. These days she appreciates exploring the world with her five-year-old daughter where their philosophy is, “Never lose your childlike wonder!”

Kaje Laine

Kaje’s love of travel and music began early. Born and raised on the East Coast, moving to the West Coast in her teens she then found herself traveling across Europe and surrounding Mediterranean countries immediately after high school, before buckling down for college. “I remember learning the art of traveling on a dime. I would save the leftover bread and jam served at breakfast and eat it for lunch so I would have enough money to catch the train to the next country. I only had a certain amount to spend and no credit card so had to make the dollars stretch.” Kaje recalls.  A business graduate of Loyola Marymount University with emphasis in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Music, Kaje has over 25 years of experience in financial operations and planning.  Her eye for detail and ability to keep track of numerous projects while keeping her cost conscious travel philosophy in tact, is a value add to Tour Travel clients.  The benefit of having someone that speaks the same language as client business managers and has the skill of maximizing the value of each dollar spent is integral to helping clients stay on track with their tour budgets and travel needs.

Christine Ansell

Originally from San Francisco, Christine worked as a Financial Controller in the managed services industry in Silicon Valley, before moving to the UK in 2014. Her understanding of financial processes helps to provide clear and accurate billing information to our clients. When not working Christine enjoys cooking and entertaining.

Oliver Moore

Having gained previous experience working in travel and media at a film studio, Oliver decided in 2017 the time was right to follow his passion in to the music industry. Our very own Prince fan is a great addition to our growing Tour Travel team.

With nearly 30 years experience in music travel and a further 5 years touring in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia, Sam has seen the touring world from both sides. This gives her a unique empathy and understanding with what is needed to ensure a tour runs smoothly.  Joining Tour Travel in January 2016 consolidates her belief in a job done well and is looking forward to a busy and exciting future with the company. When not working Sam spends her time at the stables or by the sea, enjoying the outdoor life.

Bryony has been with the team since 2011 and has enjoyed it since day one. She is so pleased she joined the Entertainment Industry and loves that there is never one day the same. With a passion for both music and travel, Bryony is happy that these aspects come with the job and feels so lucky to be in the midst of it all with Tour Travel.

With a background in event management and a love for live gigs, Emma was delighted to become part of the Tour Travel team in 2011.  As a Hotel Specialist she focuses on keeping up-to-date with all the ins and outs of hotels in Europe and Around the World and is dedicated in presenting the best options to the client.  Emma gets a real buzz when seeing one of their artistes on stage and knowing that she has been involved in some small way in making it happen.
